Head of the Class
Mark Gregorich is a former high school teacher from Washington State, who has been a professional poker player in Las Vegas since 1995. He primarily makes his living playing high stakes cash games.
Mark is proficient at multiple forms of poker, as evidenced by the diversity of his final table appearances at the World Series of Poker. He has made it to the final table in five different types of poker games: No Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, HORSE, Omaha Eights or Better, and Stud Eights or Better. Additionally, Mark holds titles from Poker After Dark and the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP).
A true teacher, Mark is also respected for his ability to convey his poker knowledge. He contributed to the Omaha Eights or Better section of the seminal poker book Doyle Brunson’s Super System II, and has been a columnist for CardPlayer magazine. In 2008, his tutorial sessions with baseball great Orel Hershiser helped pay dividends as Orel reached the Elite 8 of the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship, defeating the likes of Ted Forrest, Alan Cunningham, and Freddy Deeb.
